God saw you getting tired when a cure was not meant to be. So He wrapped His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
You did not deserve what you went through. The pain, the waiting, the uncertainty none of it was fair. So God gave you rest. A rest deeper than sleep. A peace stronger than medicine. A comfort that this world could no longer provide.
God’s garden must be beautiful, for He only takes the best. That thought carries me when grief feels heavy. It reminds me that your leaving was not abandonment, but release. Not defeat, but relief. You are no longer fighting battles your body could not win. You are no longer enduring days filled with discomfort. You are whole.
When we saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free from pain, something shifted in our hearts. The struggle was over. The suffering had ended. In that quiet moment, love had to become unselfish. I could not wish you back just to endure that again. Missing you is painful, but loving you means accepting your freedom.
Understanding death does not mean the hurt disappears. It means recognizing that sometimes healing does not happen here. Sometimes mercy looks like letting go. Sometimes love means releasing someone into eternal peace.
We grieve because we loved deeply. We ache because you mattered. But we also find comfort knowing you are no longer tired, no longer hurting, no longer burdened.
You are at rest. And in time, we will carry that peace with us.
